Community Partners
Behavioral Health & Developmental Services of Strafford Country

Community Partners provides services and support to people with developmental disabilities and people with mental health concerns. A private, nonprofit agency serving citizens of Strafford County, Community Partners is one of twelve New Hampshire agencies designated by the State of New Hampshire for the delivery of community mental health and developmental services. Seacoast Mental Health services the Rockingham County area.

Families First Health & Support Center offers comprehensive health care services and family support programs to individuals and families, regardless of their ability to pay. Men, women and children in the greater Seacoast are welcome. Families First parenting and home visiting programs are for parents and children from all types of families. Medicaid, Medicare and most health insurance plans are accepted; people without insurance get a discount based on their income. Families First is located at the Community Campus in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, just off of Rte 1 near Water Country. Portsmouth Regional Hospital provides ongoing financial support to Families First.

Healthy Kids

Healthy Kids is a low-cost health insurance program for uninsured children. Its philosophy is to promote healthy lifestyles, encourage preventive health and dental care, treat illness early and manage chronic health conditions. New Hampshire Healthy Kids Corporation (NHHK) was established by special legislative act in 1993. Through partnerships with Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Hampshire, Delta Dental and the state's twenty-six hospitals, NHHK covers income-eligible children, from birth to age 19. If you have medication needs for a chronic condition and are uninsured, you may be eligible for free prescriptions through various medication assistance programs available to you.

The Medication Financial Assistance Program is a short-term medication assistance program funded by The Foundation for Seacoast Health, and designed to assist those who need short-term medications but are uninsured. This program is specifically for the residents of Eliot, York and Kittery, Maine, and residents of Greenland, New Castle, Newington, Portsmouth, North Hampton and Rye, New Hampshire.

For those patients of doctors affiliated with Portsmouth Regional Hospital, who have long-term medication needs due to chronic illness but are uninsured, the Portsmouth Regional Hospital Prescription Assistance Program may be available to you.

Portsmouth Regional Prescription Assistance Program

The Portsmouth Regional Prescription Assistance Program is part of the Medication Bridge Program, which has locations throughout New Hampshire. The goal of the program is to help eligible uninsured and underinsured patients of all ages to receive needed prescription medications from pharmaceutical companies. Locally, the NH Medication Bridge Program is funded by Portsmouth Regional Hospital and its Medical Staff, with in-kind support from InfoLink.

SeaCare Health Services helps people who do not have health insurance and cannot afford to pay for medical and mental health services. Doctors, nurses, therapists, chiropractors and other health care providers donate their time and services to SeaCare participants.  In addition to the multi-disciplinary volunteer health network, SeaCare offers other supports for families in the area.  Portsmouth Regional Hospital provides ongoing financial support to SeaCare, and many of the physicians on our medical staff participate in the SeaCare health network.
