Please, join the fight.

Pancreatic cancer research is shamefully underfunded and in desperate need of awareness. We challenge you to learn more about pancreatic cancer this month and share what you know with a friend or family member.

THE FACTS ABOUT PANCREATIC CANCER:

  • 4th leading cause of cancer death in the U.S., yet ranks 11th in research funding
  • Kills twice as many Americans as AIDS, yet receives39 times less in research funding
  • 37,000+ Americans are diagnosed annually
  • Five-year survival rate is less than 5 percent
  • 75% of patients die within a year of diagnosis

FACTORS SYMPTOMS

  • Lack of appetite
  • Sudden weight loss
  • Sudden onset diabetes
  • Color change in urine/stool
  • Abdominal/back pain
  • Indigestion, nausea and vomiting
  • Chronic pancreatitis
  • Jaundice/fatigue

RISK FACTORS

  • Smoking
  • Drinking three or more glasses of liquor daily Diabetes
  • Aging
