Your Pathway to Surgery
The first step in becoming a bariatric surgery patient at PRH is attending one of the program’s evening informational seminars, held once a month at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. There, team surgeons, psychologist, bariatric nurse coordinator and insurance specialist provide an overview of the program and answer questions. Our Information Seminars are free and open to the general public. Each Seminar provides prospective patients with information about weight loss surgery at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
The seminars are designed to provide you with all the information needed to make an informed decision about weight loss surgery, and usually lasts between one and one half hours. We encourage you to bring a support person with you. There will also be time allotted for questions and answers after the Seminar concludes.
