Neurosurgery
Neurosurgery is the physician specialty area concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of disorders that affect the entire nervous system, including the brain, spinal column, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and extra-cranial cerebrovascular system. Neurosurgeons perform brain surgery, spinal surgery and nerve decompression.

Neurology
Neurology is the physician specialty area concerned with how the nervous system encompasses the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles. Physiatry
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), or physiatry is a branch of medicine which aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities. A physician who has completed training in this field is referred to as a physiatrist. Physiatrists specialize in restoring optimal function to people with injuries to the muscles, bones, tissues, and nervous system (such as stroke patients).
