Specialty Pediatric Care
Specialty Pediatric Care
For most of your child’s healthcare issues, Portsmouth Regional Hospital offers the specialists, services and advanced technology your child will need.
Orthopedics & Sports Medicine
Few children reach adulthood without a broken bone, torn ligament or strained muscle.
And many children are born with problems in their spine or extremities.
Whether helping your child get back in action after a sports injury or addressing a congenital problem, we have the resources and advanced technology to diagnose and treat most pediatric orthopedic issues.
Portsmouth Regional Hospital’s outstanding orthopedic staff includes nine Board Certified orthopedic surgeons, many of whom serve as team doctors for area high school and college sports teams.
Please visit our Doctors pages for information about our Orthopedic physicians.
Pediatric Infectious Diseases
For most children, growing up means periodic bouts of strep throat, chicken pox and stomach flu – not to mention run-of-the-mill colds and ear infections. These problems keep our pediatricians and family practice physicians busy.
For children with less common or more serious illnesses, our two Pediatric Infectious Disease specialists offer a valuable resource to both parents and referring pediatricians. These doctors specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of contagious and non-contagious disease caused by micro-organisms inside tissues, organs, or blood stream in children .
Please visit our Doctors pages for information about our Pediatric Infectious Disease specialists.
Pediatric Cardiology
For the parents of Seacoast area children with heart problems, it’s a relief to know that a Board Certified expert in pediatric cardiology is right here, close to home. Dr. Naomi Gauthier specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart problems in children, backed by the advanced technology and facilities of the Heart & Lung Center – a nationally recognized Center of Excellence in cardiac care.
