Wound Care Team
Most patients who come to the Wound Care Center have been referred by their primary care physician or other specialist who recognize the clinical benefit of the Wound Care Center's unique approach. However, you may self-refer as well.
At the Wound Care Center, treating wounds is all we do, and our clinical approach is systematic and focused on rapid healing.
Treatment begins with a specialized team evaluation, followed by treatment, preventive measures to minimize the chance of recurrence, and information sharing with the patient's primary care physician. The care provider team includes:
- physicians with advanced training in wound management
- consulting physicians
- a nursing staff trained in caring for chronic wounds
- technicians who perform non-invasive vascular studies
- technologists
