Fecal Occult Blood and Fecal Immunochemical Tests
Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
Colonoscopy
Double-Contrast Barium Enema
Computed Tomography (CT) Colography
Screening Recommendations
- Flexible sigmoidoscopy every 5 years; or
- Double-contrast barium enema every 5 years; or
- CT colonography (virtual colonoscopy) every 5 years; or
- Colonoscopy every 10 years; or
- Yearly fecal occult blood test; or
- Yearly fecal immunochemical test every year; or
- Personal or family history of colorectal cancer or adenomatous polyps
- Personal history of chronic inflammatory bowel disease, such as ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease
