When you're facing rehabilitation after an injury, surgery or illness, our experienced team of licensed physical therapists is ready to help restore your function, improve mobility and relieve pain. The Portsmouth Regional Hospital Center for Rehabilitation and Wellness gives you access to the most board-certified clinical specialists in New Hampshire in the specialties of women's health, orthopedics, neurology, lymphedema and cardiopulmonary rehab.
Physical Therapy Treatments & Services
You'll benefit from one-on-one treatment sessions, including evaluation, hands-on therapeutic techniques, exercise instruction and education. Physical therapy may be used alone or combined with other therapies to treat stroke, orthopedic, cancer, cardiac and pulmonary conditions. Treatment is customized to the unique physiological needs of men, women and children.
Neuro and Stroke Rehab
The vestibular system, located in the inner ear, is often the source of dizziness, vertigo and balance problems. Our specialists perform a thorough evaluation—assessing balance, strength, coordination and vertigo—and design a treatment program. Treatment may include ear canal repositioning and exercises to improve gaze stabilization, balance, strength, flexibility and coordination.
Women's Health Physical Therapy
If you've been diagnosed with a pelvic floor disorder, pelvic pain or incontinence, you may benefit from specific therapies for this condition. We specialize in prenatal and postpartum rehabilitation, including treatment for low back pain and sacroiliac (SI) joint dysfunction.
Children's Rehabilitation Center
Our comprehensive Children's Rehabilitation Center offers a full suite of rehabilitation therapies for children with developmental delays and disorders, including spectrum disorders, cancer, cerebral palsy, athletic injuries and swallowing and feeding disorders.
