Birth, Parenting and Family Education
The birth team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital's Seacoast Family Care Services offers a wide range of prenatal care and education to help you prepare for pregnancy, delivery and parenting. Husbands and partners are welcomed and encouraged to participate. Be sure to ask about taking a tour of our hospital birthing areas to see our beautiful, spacious rooms. If you plan to breastfeed your baby, take advantage of our prenatal breastfeeding classes. Our lactation specialists offer one-on-one consultation once your baby is born, both while you're in the hospital and after you return home. You'll also benefit from our free breastfeeding support group, where you can bond with other moms, share tips and get encouragement. Breast pumps and other breastfeeding accessories are available to rent or purchase at the gift shop.
