Portsmouth, NH (October 24, 2018) - Portsmouth Regional Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of Lauren Thompson, MD, to their surgical staff. Dr. Thompson specializes in minimally invasive breast surgery. Dr. Thompson’s office is located at Portsmouth Regional Hospital’s Cancer Care Center at 155 Borthwick Ave., Suite 301 East, in Portsmouth.
Dr. Thompson received her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, followed by the completion of her master’s degree in Public Health at the University of Michigan. She then attended Georgetown University Medical School where she received her medical degree.
Dr. Thompson’s residency in general surgery was performed at Hofstra-North Shore LIJ and she recently completed her surgical training with a Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Mount Sinai in New York.

Dr. Thompson is a native of New England and is thrilled to be back “home.”
