Ira Schwatrz, MD, is a board certified internist. He also became a Fellow of the American College of Physicians in 2004. He joined Portsmouth Internal Medicine in 1981. Dr. Schwartz attended the University School of Medicine in Louisville, KY, before going on to complete his residency and internship at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, N.Y.

Dr. Schwartz is very involved in several community interests. He devotes much of his spare time to the Temple Israel, and is a member on the New Hampshire Board of Medicine. Dr. Schwartz loves to travel the world and has taken special interest in becoming fluent in Italian.
