Portsmouth Regional Hospital’s Valve Clinic is proud to offer the transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedure. TAVR is a newly approved procedure in the United States for patients with inoperable aortic stenosis who previously had no other treatment option.

TAVR is performed by delivering an artificial valve through the femoral artery to the heart, where it is deployed over the damaged valve.

This minimally-invasive procedure is performed by an experienced multi-disciplinary team of heart specialists in our Hybrid Operating Room.

Patient Navigation

The Portsmouth Regional Hospital Valve Clinic offers patients and referring physicians the support of a patient navigator whose role is to guide patients through the complexities of the services and ensure their questions are answered.

To refer a patient to one of our Valve Specialists or to contact our office about TAVR, please call our Valve Clinic Coordinator at (603) 433-4866.
